December 1st is right around the corner! Can you believe it? In less than a month, we will be in December? Starbucks has their holiday cups out, the mall is starting the process of hanging the Christmas decorations, but wait a second...Thanksgiving has not even passed yet! Before you get wrapped up in the Holiday cheer, (which we hope you do!) make sure you submit all of your college applications. Why? It is just one more thing that you can be thankful for as you sit around the dinner table and eat your Thanksgiving meal! Notre Dame of Maryland University hold a December 1st deadline for the maximum scholarship consideration. Are you looking to have the most consideration for free money? If yes, then make sure to apply by December 1st!

Friday is Get Acquainted Day on campus! Stephanie Cavill, our Campus Visit Coordinator, has been preparing endlessly so that the event will be fantastic- as they all are! But we want to ask you, do you think that it is important to visit the campuses of those schools your considering applying/attending for your next academic year? On a side note: Who has completed the application?! We know what you're thinking, "But wait, it isn't even November yet!" Be sure you have Notre Dame entered in College Board so that we receive your SAT scores. And remember, it's never too early to apply! The earlier the better! Be thankful when you're with your friends and family for thanksgiving that you have completed your college applications! Be sure to have submitted your request for your official transcripts. Yes, these have to come from your Guidance Office and must be sealed. Have you written your first draft of your essay? Have the first outline drafted? Have a parent or friend-- or both read over it and give you their feedback! Be sure to write about something you feel passionate about! Mark your calendars! -Our next visit opportunity, after this Friday the 21st (which is Get Acquainted Day) is November 17th -18th, Preview Overnight!! We allow all prospective senior students to spend the night on campus! Attend classes, meet professors, hang out with current students and really experience what life is like as a Notre Dame Woman! -Application deadline for maximum scholarship consideration: December 1st

It's Friday! Woohoo! It's a pretty quiet day here, on campus. The students have just completed their midterms and thus, have a the day off for midterm break! But, work never stops here in Admissions! Preparations have been ongoing for next week's event our, Get Acquainted Day! We allow all of our prospective high school seniors to visit out campus for a whole day. During this visit, they get to make their own schedule! All of our classes are open, so then can attend real, live college level course, they can chat with their future professors, meet current students, sample the dining hall's entrees and really cater their visit to what they're interested in learn! Sunday, two of our Admissions Counselors, Karen Arata and Krystyna Crowley are heading to fairs in both Pennsylvania and Northern Virginia. Next week is booked for all with some upcoming visits at high schools, college fairs, the national fair in D.C. and of course-- the event here on campus! We hope everyone enjoys the weekend ahead!

Enjoying the beautiful fall weather and a game of Ultimate Frisbee, 
current students take a break from the books and enjoy the great outdoors!
Luckily we captured this intense session of Frisbee yesterday afternoon! 
Anyone can play! Every Tuesday from 4:30-6:00 on Doyle Lawn!

The leaves have already started to change color here on campus! Notre Dame is always beautiful but especially in the fall when covered in a soft brush of rich red, orange and yellow leaves!
Before we know it Thanksgiving will be here! 
Gobble! Gobble!

and be thankful all of your college applications are complete and submitted!)
